Surviving are two daughters, Jana (Wes) Mayeur and Kimberly Keller, both of Morton; her beloved granddaughter, Lily Mayeur of Morton; one brother, Robert (Lynne) Clark of Morton; her brother-in-law, Leland Morr of Groveland; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Catherine had worked as a floating and registry nurse at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She later worked at a doctor's office in Peoria and then worked as a psychiatric nurse in Missouri.
She attended First Baptist Church of Morton, where she was a volunteer with AWANA and baked cookies for college students.
Catherine loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting and gardening.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, May 24, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Morton, with church ministers officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
