YORK Betty A. (Druck) Hixon, 73, died Wednesday May 4, 2005 at her home. She was wife of the late Robert L. Hixon. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at John W. Keffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2114 West Market St., York. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
Mrs. Hixon was born May 24, 1931, in York, a daughter of the late Hazel Jeanette (McCue) Anthony, and Lance Aaron Druck.
She was a Registered Nurse in the Maternity Department of York Hospital retiring with 34 years of service. Betty was a 1947 graduate of Red Lion High School, and a 1952 graduate of York Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the York Hospital Alumni Assn. Mrs. Hixon is survived by two sons, Jeffrey L. Hixon and his fianc, Gretchen Karle of York, and Terry L. Hixon and his wife, Jayne K. of York; three grandchildren, G. Shawn Searle, Kari Ann Bortner, and Matthew L. Hixon; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Brianna; and a sisterin-law, Mary McCue of Red Lion.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Benjamin and Anna McCue; a grandson, Toby L. Stottlemyer; and a brother, William F. McCue. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924 N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403; or to First Presbyterian Church, 225 East Market St., York, PA 17403.
