Donald Ray Longuepee
Donald Ray Longuepee passed away on May 1st, 2014 in Redding, California. Donald was born on April 30, 1935 and was 79 years old. A memorial Service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery at 4042 North Street on May 20, 2014 at 10:00 in the Mausoleum with services conducted by Reverend Chris Andrews. Interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. He was a Baton Rouge native and a graduate of Istrouma High School in 1953. He was also the manager of the football team in 1951 and 1952 for the State Championship. Donald proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps in 1953 and served in Cuba, the Mediterranean and other countries as a driver for the Admiral. He worked out of and retired from Electrical Local 995 then moved to California due to health issues. He is survived by his daughter Donna Seymour and husband Bob; a son, Michael Longuepee; 4 grandchildren Ethan, Kirby, Nathan & Hanna, a sister Merle Bates, a brother Bob Longuepee and wife Susan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ollie and Jules Longuepee, his wife Dorothy Longuepee; a son Timothy Longuepee; brother-in-law Raymond Bates and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was an avid LSU fan and loved to travel.
