Obituary- Published from an undated and unknown publication circa Nov 1920-- This venerable and respected resident of Lot 31, Con 1, Erin, passed peacefully away at his home last Thursday . Mr. Parker was born in Chinguacousy Peel Co, on Dec 3, 1838. When a young man, he went to Erin Twsp. After spending three years there, he bought the above lot which at the time was virgin forest. Sixty years ago in January, he married Sarah McMillan, daughter of Colin McMillan. For fifty one years, they were married to each other and 10 sons and daughters blessed their home. Nine years ago, the first break in the family came when the mother passed away. The children are as follows: James at Corwhin; John at the homestead; Thomas at Portage La Prairie Manitoba; Hugh Robert who is inspector of Schools at Vermillion Alberta; Collin at Rosendale Manitoba; Charles E in Acton, Daniel at Everton, Mrs. McNeill, C... Idaho; Mrs. George Sunley Grimsby. Mr. Parker was for years in school trustee. he was a strong Liberal and was one of the founders of the Disciples Church at Mimosa where he took an active part in the services. The funeral was held on Saturday to the Everton Church.
