Joan M. Luchene, age 81 of Marion, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on Friday May 16, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1933 in Rantoul, Kansas to the late Glenn and Anna (Weber) Lacy. On February 17, 1950 in Hammond, Ind. she married Homer W. Luchene and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1992. Joan was a retired business owner of the Sunset Inn in New Bloomington, Ohio. She was a member of Marion Moose Lodge #889 and American Legion Post # 162. She loved her family dearly, her animals and enjoyed all her many friends. Joan leaves behind two daughters and a son; Joan (Darrell) Carroll, Tammy (Michael) Sand, and Tony (Meridith) Luchene all of Marion, Ohio, as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive. Joan is survived also by a brother James (Neva) Lacy of Ocala, Fla. and her special friend, John Penry. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Fred Luchene and two brothers; Arthur and Jackie Lacy.
The burial following the service will be in Lowell Memorial Cemetery.
