He was born April 16, 1868 at Owatonna.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Nelson.
He came to Albert Lea 45 years ago.
He operated a livery barn located at the site of the present Fountain Lake park.
In later years he was engaged in real estate.
He married Kiste Hawkins who died in 1940.
He is survived by four sons:
T.H. of Albert Lea
Carl of Seattle, Washington
Reuben and Russel in Minneapolis
Four daughters:
Mrs. Adolph ( Anna) Hoff of Minneapolis
Mrs. Kenneth ( Tillie) Partlow of New Castle, Indiana
Mrs. Cecil ( Helen) Edmonds of Dubuque, Iowa
Mrs. Walter (Eva) Johnson of Albert Lea.
Funeral services will be held in the Bonnerup Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 a.m..
Interment will be in the Lakewood cemetery.
