Janet Olive (Dintiman) Rose, 91, of Highspire passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 surrounded by her adoring family.
She was a basketball player and graduate of both Highspire High School and the Central Pennsylvania Business College.
Janet was a Homemaker who took wonderful care of her family and was a Clerk for the Highspire Borough Manager.
She was a life-long member of the Highspire First Church of God.
Janet served as a Republican Committee Woman and was very active in the Republican Party.
She enjoyed swimming, exercising, playing Pinochle with her card club group of seventy years, and dancing with her husband.
Janet's greatest joy was spending time with her loving family and enjoying her grandson's pizza.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband: Donald B. Rose; her son: Donald P. Rose;
Janet is survived by her daughter: Nadine L. (Rose) Ohman; her son: Timothy D. (Donna) Rose; her granddaughter: Jenifer A. (Bill) Letsas; her grandsons: Nathaniel Rose, Tyler Rose, and Kurtis Rose; her great-granddaughters: Victoria Letsas and Leah Letsas; her great-grandson: Nicholas Letsas; her nephew: Dr. George B. Dintiman of North Carolina; and, her great-nieces and great-nephews.
