Son of Lawson Fields Brent 1824-1906 and Elizabeth Mitchell Brent 1831-1877. He married Lilly May Payne first and had three known children. Winnie Mae, Zelma Opal and Robert Brent. After Lilly's death in 1911, he married Laura Belle Choate 1893-1953. They had one son, Joffre Howard Brent.
