Willam Albert Bardell died at the hospital in Chippewa Falls, Friday July 9th, 1926. He had been in failing health for some time and on July 1st underwent a serious operation at the hospital, gradually growing weaker thereafter until the end came. Mr. Bardell was born at Freeport, Ill., March 22, 1867, and grew to manhood there. He was married to Minnie Ester Meyers at Freeport, Feb. 16, 1893. In 1904 they moved to the town of York, Clark County and bought a farm which they cleared up and greatly improved during the time they lived upon it. In 1917 he sold the farm and since then has lived in Florida most of the time, especially in winter. Just recently he bought the Fred Bremer place near Christie and had just moved in with his family before going to the hospital

Mr. Bardell was an excellent farmer, thrifty and progressive in his methods, willing and efficient in helping in all community work and was a valuable man in the neighborhood. His death is a serious loss to his family and to the community.

He leaves his wife and three children: Clarence at home Clinton in the town of York, and Emma, Mrs. Wm. Senft of Columbus, Ohio also three grandchildren. The funeral was held in the M.E. church at Christie, Rev. Thompson of Greenwood officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.
