Tobias B. Duncan, was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, Oct. 20,1836 and died May 20, 1927, aged 90 years, 7 months, at the home of his granddaughter Mrs. G. E. Duffey of Hoyt, Kansas, where he has made his home the past three years.
Mr. Duncan is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Oscar Smith, of Nevada City, Calif.,Mrs. Isaac Cook, of Reno, Nevada, Mrs. Ward Harpley of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Hersh Guthrie of Akron, Ohio, one sister and one brother, Mrs. B. J. Lower of Fresno, Ohio, and Joseph Duncan of Conway Springs, Kansas. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Hoyt Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Sunday May 22. Interment was made in the Hoyt Cemetery.
