Leonard W. Beaubiah, 86, of 220 Martin St. died Monday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. A native of Watertown, Mr. Beaubiah resided most of his life in Syracuse. He retired in 1973 after 20 years with the maintenance department of the Syracuse City School District. Mr. Beaubiah was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and the Civil Service Employees Association. A trainer of award-winning dogs, Mr. Beaubiah was a member of the Onondaga and Sandy Creek beagle clubs. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, the former Florence Evans; two daughters, Nancy Goldschmidt of North Syracuse and Barbara Dwyer of Lyncourt; a son, Gary E. of Cicero; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina St. Contributions may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
