Albert F. Bernet, 93, lifelong resident of West Liberty, died early today at the Extended Care Center in Iowa City.
He was born March 28, 1874 at Wilton Junction, the son of John and Anna Wickie Bernet. He married Florence Lehman on March 10, 1947 at West Liberty.
Bernet was employed as a mason and had farmed most of his life. He was a member of the West Liberty Methodist church.
Surviving are his widow, Florence; two brothers, Harry of Wilton Junction and George in Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Snider Funeral Home in West Liberty with Rev. Harland Grant officiating. Burial will be at Oakridge cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
