Burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Holly Spring, Texas.
Myrtle died May 14, 2014 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas.
A lifelong resident of Holly Springs, Myrtle was a 1947 graduate of Jasper High School. She worked for a short time with Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator before marrying the love of her life Garland Powell who preceded her in death in 2004 after 55 years of marriage.
Survivors include her daughter Nancy Bohac and husband Mark, one sister-in-law Nelda Powell Lanier and one grandson Matthew Bohac. Myrtle is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents Faben and Eva Adams, sisters Fern Adams, Hazel Davis, and Maye Stott, her brothers Jim Adams, Hershel Adams and Harold Adams.
