Carl L Holton (Brother Carl) Huntsville – Carl L Holton (Brother Carl), 88, passed away on May 13, 2014, at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City. He was born November 11, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to James and Caroline Holton. Brother Carl had been a member of the Monastery community for over 40 years. He came with a Masters Degree in Forestry and years of experience that helped us in our farming and range operations. Brother Carl was an excellent cook, and prepared meals for our many guests over the years. He could be seen every summer in a favorite activity, astride a tractor, as he was instrumental in the success of our extensive harvesting efforts. In later years, as his health began to fail, Brother Carl's care for us was returned by our care for him, in our Monastery infirmary and in professional healthcare facilities. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Monastery, 1250 South 9500 East, Huntsville, UT, under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
