She was greeted at heaven's gates by her loving husband, Herb Wisecaver, and grandson, Jason Wisecaver.
Verneta was born March 7, 1928 about two miles south of Curry Crossing in Twin Falls County, Idaho, to Roy and Cora Buntin.
She is survived by her brother, Roy (Jane) Buntin; sister, Leta Goedert; three children, Sonny (Andra) Henry, Alton (Laurie) Henry, Susan Medford; four stepchildren, Gary Wisecaver, Ann (Mike) Martin, Carol Grosch and Bob Wisecaver; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Verneta unconditionally loved her family, and her faith was evident throughout her life. Verneta was active in the Gooding Christian, and the Jerome and Twin Falls First Baptist churches. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and sang in the church choir for many years.
She and her siblings loved the years that they spent growing up in Featherville, Idaho. They shared stories of their youthful adventures with generations of family around campfires and while touring the one-room schoolhouse.
Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Twin Falls First Baptist Church on 910 Shoshone Street North, Twin Falls, with Pastor Jeff Cooper officiating.
Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
