After her parents death she moved to Tulsa, OK in 1940 along with her brother Carl Sauer and was raised by her Aunt Idell and Uncle Carl Fischer. She graduated from Holy Family High School in Tulsa in 1943.
On June 28, 1947, she married Nelson Dean at Immaculate Conception Church remaining in Tulsa raising their 5 children.
Preceeded in death by her husband of 62 years Nelson Dean, parents Joseph and Marie Sauer, and brother, Carl Sauer.
She is survived by her 5 children: Michael Dean, Mary Dean (Mary O'Roark), Patti Marshall (Greg Marshall), Tom Dean, and Deb Chamberlain (Clint Chamberlain). She is also survived by grandchildren Justin Marshall, Lance (Maria), Logan, and Kindle Chamberlain, Harmony (Rigo), Miranda (Bryan), and Nelson C. Dean. Great-Grandchildren Kailey Arey, Ellie and Evan Chamberlain, Jordan and Adrian Ostiguin, Kynslie Dean, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
