FULTON – Charlene Harrison York, 92, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at Courtyards Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 5, 1921, to Ralph S. Harrison and Annie Hope Mattox Harrison. She enjoyed working with her flowers and gardening. She loved her family and her pets.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Friendship Methodist Church with Bro. Mark Tutor officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Methodist Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by three children, John York of Mantachie, and Patsy (Gary) Ferguson and Freeman York of New Orleans, La.; grandchildren, Jessy York of Fulton, Dee Dee Hughes of Fulton, Jennie Potts of Tremont, Scott Ferguson of New Orleans, Patrick Ferguson of New Orleans, Eddie Ferguson of New Orleans, Rhonda Riley of Aberdeen, Sondra Golsan of Columbus; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Walker of Olive Branch.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph S. Harrison; her mother, Annie Hope Harrison; her husband, John Allen York; a son, Charles Allen York; and a daughter, Jo Ellen York.

Pallbearers will be Terry West, Carl Maxcy, Darris White, Bob Hodges, Jason Bingler and Heath Brown.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Friendship Methodist Church.
