She was born in Halfway and received a nursing degree from Gooding College.
She began her nursing career in Salt Lake City and later worked in the office of Dr. Elizabeth McFetridge in Shepherdstown, W. Va.
She was president of the Tuscarora Extension Homemakers Club and the Shepherdstown Woman's Club. She also was a member of the Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Jr.; sons, Jesse R. of Vienna, Va., and James W. III of Shepherdstown, W. Va.; daughter Linda M. Heaney of Seattle; and six grandchildren.
No services will be held and interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rosedale mortuary.
