Oil Operator Taken by Death
S. M. Anderson Came Here in '31

S. M. (Mickey) Anderson, 66, of 33 Hampton Rd, died Wednesday morning in Wesley Hospital.

He was born Feb. 16, 1894, at Norman, Okla. He had been a resident of Wichita since 1928 moving here from Oklahoma City and was associated at times with Shell Oil and Phillips Petroleum but in 1931 became an independent oil operator. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, Masonic Blue Lodge, Wichita Consistory, Midian Shrine.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. B. F. Anderson of the home, one son, S. M. Anderson Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home.

The Rev. Frederick W. Putnam, rector of St. James Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Contributions are being made to the Heart Fund.
Pallbearers will be Herman Ewers, Max Kirk, E. G. Gordon, A. W. Hershberger, M. A. Isern, and F. J. Latinis.
