Charles "Jack" J. Feldmann, 66, of 303 Standish Drive, died Sunday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Syracuse, Mr. Feldmann was employed by New York Telephone Co. 44 years, retiring in 1985 as a sales manager.
Mr. Feldmann was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater for the Army Corps of Engineers. He received his captain's bars from Gen. George Patton and was honored with the Purple Heart and the Conspicuous Service Cross.
Mr. Feldmann was a member of DeWitt Community Church and the New York Telephone Pioneers.
Surviving are his wife, Mert E. Feldmann; two daughters, Salli Franck of Norwich and Cindy A. Goodrich of Fayetteville; a son, John C. Feldmann of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Robert C. Feldmann of Skaneateles; and several grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at DeWitt Community Church, the Rev. Edwin F. Taylor officiating.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the parlor of DeWitt Community Church. Contributions may be made to the Telephone Pioneers of America, 300 E. Washington St., Syracuse, N.Y.
