One of BRIGHT'S brothers was GILES BRIGHT WILLIAMS, JR (1808-1894) who built the HISTORIC WILLIAMS-POWELL HOME about 1830. It is located at 2298 Fair Bluff Road, Orrum, Robeson County, about 1/4 mile from the OLD SPRING HILL CEMETERY where BRIGHT and wife SARAH are buried. Brother GILES and his wife MARY ANN NICHOLS are also buried in this same cemetery.
BRIGHT died December 7, 1895 in Robeson County at "AGED 96 Ys. 4 Ms. 14 Ds." as is inscribed on his headstone.
