Age 99, loving aunt, sister, sister-in-law, friend, of Loves Park. Born in Lawrence County, Alabama to Martin and Genever (Canups) Burden. Bertha moved to Rockford in 1964. She worked many years at St. Anthony School of Nursing. In her earlier years she enjoyed flowers and gardening as well as cooking and canning. Bertha attended Beverly Park General Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. In her later years, she moved with her family to Loves Park, where she died peacefully in her home. Her gentle kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Heaven received another angel. Predeceased by her parents; infant brother; brothers, Roy, Grady; sisters, Rosie, and Edner.
