Georgeanna B. Henneman, 61, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at York Hospital. Born in York, on October 27, 1952, she was the daughter of John Swemley of York and the late E. Janice (Eichelberger) Swemley.
Georgie was a talented seamstress and had been employed several places throughout her years. She had owned and operated her own craft business, but elected out of love and service to her children to leave her career and help tend her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eyes. Truly, her biggest joy was sharing her faith time and love with her family. She is survived by five children, Shawn Stauch of East Prospect, A. Stacy Berkheimer of Dover, Charles Shock of West York, Paula Burns of York, and Georgeanna Marie Mantalto of Long Beach, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Markey of Woodlands, Texas, and Kimberly Muela of Spring Grove; and a brother, John Swemley, Jr. of York.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home 1111 E. Market St., York, with a viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Olivia's House, 830 S. George St., York, PA 17403; or to the American Red Cross York Chapter, 724 S. George St., York, PA 17403.
