Hazel Adams and Isaac Mitchell were married in her parent's home on the C.L. Martin located in the Pleasant Valley [Mule Creek] community in Baylor County, Texas.

At that time, their post office was Round Timber, Texas with the family going to the post office to pick up the mail. The young couple lived in Baylor County for a year moving to Bell County near Temple, Texas. In 1914, they moved to Hall County, near Memphis, Texas and joined Isaac Mitchell's parents in farming. In 1915, they moved to C.L. Martin's farm in Wise County and in 1917 they moved to C.L. Martin's farm in Baylor County. In 1919, they farmed in Hall County and in 1920, they lived on the Roxie Morris farm between Vera and Goree in the Cottonwood community. In 1921, they moved back to the C.L. Martin farm in Baylor County and in 1925, they moved across Highway 199 to the L.A. White farm, living there 11 years. Their home was blessed with seven children, all attended the Westover school. The three older childen: Tola and Juanita started to school in the Pleasant Valley school, with Viola, Christine, Movelda and Nathan starting the Westover School. The older children graduated from Westover High Schoo. Tola passed away in 1926.

The two youngest children, Movelda and Nathan graduated from Benjamin High School as the Mitchell family moved to the Bush - Burnett farm between Benjamin and Vera in 1936.

In 1943, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell bought a home with fruit and vegetable garden acreage at the northwest corner of Fort Belknap, near Newcastle.
