Marlin O. Dailey, 91, of Brinkley, died April 12, 2016 in Brinkley. He was born in Moro June 15, 1924 to William Jennings Dailey and Lillie Stephens Dailey. He was a member of the Monroe Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Area, Hawaiian Islands, Marianas Islands, Ryukyun Islands, and Japan. He was a farmer and factory worker in Marianna. He was a member of the Holly Grove American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Willie Jane Jackson Dailey, son Mark Vincent Dailey, brother William Hulet Dailey, sister Wilma Maxine Hickman, and grandson Evan Andrew Dailey. Survivors are his wife Mary Bennett Dailey of Blackton, sons Kenneth Dailey of Moro, Eric Dailey of Marianna, and Keith Bennett of Blackton, daughters Peggy West of Sheridan and Betty Benton of Fort Worth, brothers Alvin Dailey of Little Rock, Dale Dailey of Maumelle, and W.J. Dailey of Elk City, Kansas, as well as nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
