Jay Edward Mattingly, MD, 64 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away suddenly of a heart attack Monday, May 5, 2014. Jay was born in Memphis on April 7, 1950. He is survived by his two beloved children Morgan Brown Mattingly and Cole Johnson Mattingly, of whom he was very proud, his sisters Sue Ellen Haaga (Rayford) of Memphis, Tennessee, Jane Smith (Tom) of Nashville, Tennessee, and seven nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Countless others grieve his loss but celebrate for having known him. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station Road, Memphis, TN.
