The parents of H.E. Harris were Leondus Maxie (Lee) Harris and Nora Ida Gilbert Harris (89082959). Lee Harris' whereabouts are unknown but he was born 10-24-1889 in Franklin Co., GA to Alsippi Gambrell Lindley (81272010) and Butler T. Harris (unknown whereabouts). Butler T was the son of David Harris (88342069). Alsippi Gambrell Lindley later remarried to Thomas Lindley (81271973) which is where the Lindley name came from. Henry Edward Harris and his mother Ida Gilbert Harris lived with Alsippi when Lee ran off to GA. I have correspondence between them in the form of letters. I even have the letter where Lee was granting Ida a divorce dated 3-28-1920 and was telling his son Henry Harris not to forget him. Correspondence were fewer but I know of Lee's whereabouts (exact address) in 1932 after which he was in an unknown location in Birmingham AL. After that he has eluded being found by any of our family. My grandfather (Henry Harris) searched for the remainder of his life and so did my father James Richard Harris (175968598) as will I. So you see I do not have a father to connect to Henry Harris nor does he have this particular half sister. Henry Harris remains an only child until we can locate Leondus Maxie (Lee) Harris. I have also heard him referred to as "Sic" Lee.
