She was one of 10 children and came to the United States in 1935. She moved to Erie and worked for St. Mark's Seminary. She was a member of the Ave Maria Society and St. Mary's Auxiliary at St. George Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfino Borgia; her second husband, Raymond Coffey; a son, David Coffey; a grandson, Thomas Watral; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Borgia and his wife, Hilda, and Charles Coffey and his wife, Jean, all of Erie; four daughters, Olivia Balczon and her husband, John, Mary Ann Frew and her husband, David, Sarah Entley and her husband, Arthur, and Susan Flanagan and her husband, Patrick, all of Erie; a brother, Cesare Franzese of Trumbull, Conn.; two sisters, Lizetta Arlia of Trumbull and Adelina Amendola of San Paulo, Brazil; 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery's Holy Family Mausoleum.
