He was born March 10, 1925, in Fort Recovery, to Cecil and Edith Rockwell Bickel.
On May 22, 1943, he married Onnalee Green and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Roger (Sharon) of Troy, Mo.; two daughters, Janice (Dick) Fiely and Karen (Ron) Ranly, both of Fort Recovery; a sister, Helen Slick, Winchester, Ind.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He retired from Westinghouse in Union City, Ind., and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Recovery.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Tamora Wood officiating.
Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
