Mr. Patton died at the age of 85 at his home in Skidmore, Mo.
He was the son of Thomas and Sarah Patton, born near Guilford, Mo on Feb 5, 1861.
In September, 1879, he was united in marriage to Eliza Tate. They had one son. He was then married to Martha Russnogle on Nov 28, 1911 at Maryville, Mo.
He became a member of the Christian Church of Maryville, October 16, 1921.
He is survived by one son: Jesse Patton of San Diego, Calif., two brothers, George Patton of San Diego, Calif. and John Patton of Idaho Falls, Colo; several niece and nephews and many good friends.
Funeral was held at the Skidmore Christian Church. The pastor in charge of the service was Mrs. Ralph Aldo Ermerson.
Pallbearers were: C.E. Linville, W.S. Linville, Merve Gray, Earl Jordan, Lafe Watson and Halie Merritt. Hymns were sung by Mrs. H.J. Bramble, Mrs. Hallie Merritt, Fred Barrett and H.P. Botkin, with Miss Mabel Dysart as accompanist. Flowers were in charge of Miss Mae Doran, Mrs. Ernest Comer, Miss Florence Jordan, and Mrs. Wylie Zook.
Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery
