Evelyn Marsh Dies,
Noted in VFW Auxiliary

WATERLOO - Mrs. Evelyn Gee Marsh, 45, wife of William
H. Marsh Jr. of 25 West Elizabeth St. prominent in local
district and state Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary activities,
died late Saturday night, in Geneva General Hospital, after a
short illness.

Mrs. Marsh was born in Alberta, Canada, and had lived here
for many years.

She was a member and past president of the Auxiliary of
Waterloo Memorial Post, VFW and past secretary of the county
unit. She was past secretary and treasurer of the Seneca County
VFW and Auxiliary and was past president and past secretary of the
Finger Lakes Council of the VFW Auxiliary.

She also was serving for the eighth year as treasurer of the Waterloo
Auxiliary at the time of her death. She represented the district for
several years on the Veterans Administration Hospital
committee.

Surviving besides her husband, are two sons, William H. Marsh,
Jr. of Waterloo and Dayton Marsh of Rochester; a daughter,
Miss Maxine Marsh of Waterloo; her mother, Mrs. Carrie Hansen
of Dresser, Wis., two brothers, Russell Hansen of Waterloo
and Leonard Hansen of Luck, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Alfred Daeffler
of Skaneaeteles.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Doran
Funeral Home, 30 Center St., by the Rev. Dr. M. R. Fritts, pastor
of Calvary Lutheran Church, Auburn. Burial will be in Maple
Grove Cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday
and Tuesday at their convenience.
