Renee Blystone Hoagenson, a residence of Odessa, died on July 29, 2001 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. She was 43 years old.
Renee was born on Nov. 24, 1957 in Kansas City. She grew up in Raytown, graduating from the Raytown High School in 1976. Renee was a devoted wife and mother. She had a long time career as a legal secretary and was currently employed by the law firm of Bryan Cave. Renee loved animals. Her pets included dogs, cats, birds, ducks and horses.
Renee is survived by her husband, Darrin Hoagenson, of the home; her daughters, Athena and Jessica, both of the home; her mother, Guelda Fern (Reeves) Blystone of El Dorado Springs; her father, Wallace Blystone and step mother, Sue Blystone of Kingsville; three brothers, Jeffrey Blystone, Randy Blystone and Wallace Blystone, Jr.; two sisters, Lila Carriker and Melba Boyd. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Services were held on Thursday morning, Aug. 2, at the Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Doug Houdyshell officiating. Musical selections were provided by Vera Bourland. Interment was in the El Dorado Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Dale Hoagenson, Corbett Martin, Mike Mogan, Steve Bailey, Buddy Reeves and Nick Reeves. Honorary pallbearers were Dick Mogan, Floyd Root and Gary Dobbs.
Since her death she has now 3 grandchildren by Athena. Damien, Terriny, and Kcee. We all miss her she will always be in our hearts.
