MILTON WOMAN DIES IN TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION

A 63-year-old Milton woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 9:29 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Del. 30 and Sussex 48, just north of Millsboro.

Cpl. Preston A. Lewis, Delaware State Police spokesman, said the collision occurred when a six-wheel truck, operated by Tyrone L. Clark, 41, of the Harrington area, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a 1994 Chevrolet S-10 pickup driven by William J. Brown, 66, of Milton.

Cpl. Lewis said Mr. Brown and his wife, Evelyn L. Brown, a passenger in the front seat of the pickup, were taken to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, where Mrs. Brown died from her injuries. Mr. Brown was listed in critical, but stable, condition. Mr. Clark was not injured.

No charges were filed and the state police Fatal Accident and Reconstruction Team is continuing to investigate the accident, Cpl. Lewis said.
