Mrs. Menda Edwards
Mrs. Menda Edwards, 1110 North Spanish, 82 years old, died Sunday night in a hospital here. Born Aug. 12, 1888, at Simpson, Ill., she was married to Samuel C. Edwards Aug. 8, 1917 at Jackson and he preceded her in death in 1923.
Survivors are a son, Neal C. Edwards, Cape Girardeau; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Miller, Los Angeles, Calif., and two granddaughters, Mrs. Albert Moore and Mrs. Eastman Foster, both of Cape Girardeau. Two sons also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Edwards had lived in Cape Girardeau 20 years, moving here from Benton. She was a member of Third Street United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 tonight. The Rev. William Dickey. pastor of Third Street United Methodist Church, will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Pallbearers for the funeral of Mrs. Menda Edwards, 1110 North Spanish, were Eastman Foster, Albert Moore, Paul Ray Dow, Jim Wolfenkoehler, Truman Stroder and Melvin Connally.
Funeral services for Mrs. Edwards were held this afternoon at Ford and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. William Dickey, pastor, Third Street United Methodist Church, officating. Burial was in Memorial Park.
Mrs. Edwards, 82 years old, died Sunday night in a hospital here.
