Bodrie, Mrs. Hilda S. (Rooker) Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre. Age 98 years. The daughter of the late Henry and Hildur (Carlson) Konsdorf, Hilda was born March 3, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. She married Harry Rooker on July 1, 1927. He predeceased her March 3, 1980. Hilda then married Edward Bodrie on September 27, 1980. He predeceased her February 14, 1991. Hilda enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving are one son, one daughter and their spouses, Edward and Sally Rooker, Saginaw; Lorraine and Daniel Koblinski, Saginaw; 10 grandchildren, Diann (Carl) Day, Darrell (Amy) Rooker, Gary (Nancy) Rooker, Brian (Barbara) Koblinski, Deborah (David) Schneider, Suzanne (John) Buckley, Daniel (Cherrie) Santhany, Kevin Rooker, Jeff (Gabrielle) Rooker, Cindy (Todd) O'Connor; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Harry Konsdorf and Harriet Pretzer; several nieces and nephews. Hilda was preceded in death by one son, Donald Rooker, a daughter, Mary Santhany, and by four brothers and three sisters, Henry, Marshall, Raymond and Charles Konsdorf, Agatha LaCross, Evelyn Muehlenbeck and Gladys Fritz. Hilda's family extends their gratitude to Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre for the loving care they provided.
Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or charity of their choice.
