Grumpy was one of four kittens born to Ebony, a black cat who showed up in our backyard in the fall of 1995. We adopted him and he became my special kitty and beloved companion. Grumpy, like his siblings Doc, Dopey, and Bashful, was named after one of the dwarfs in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (though the name did not suit his sweet and loving personality).
In March of 2005, Grumpy suddenly stopped eating. We took him to the vet and were shocked by his diagnosis - a very aggressive cancer. Just two weeks later he passed away.
