Darrel G. Johnson, 74, of Newberry, died at his daughter's home in Newberry while under the care of Northwood's Home Health and Hospice on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Born in Ashley, Mi., Darrel was a son of the late Glenn & Vera (Scott) Johnson. He was a high school graduate and was employed by Motor Wheel for over 30 years retiring to Newberry because of his failing health. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter Robin Ackley of Newberry, his sons Eric Johnson, of Potterville; Larry Johnson, Scott Johnson, and Darrel Johnson all of Michigan; and siblings: Beverly Huss, Joan Huguelet, Gayle Seibert , Charlene Olger,Terry Johnson, and Robert Johnson, all of Florida and Michigan.
According to his wishes, cremation services have been accorded and no local services are planned.
