"Betty Botz was born in West Union to John and Margaret A. (Staus) Williams. She first married Otto John Imdieke on 16 October 1945 at Saint Alexius Catholic Church in West Union. The couple resided and farmed near West Union until his death in 1960.
"In 1965 she moved to Sauk Centre where she was employed at the Hi-Lo Cafe, Burger Hut and Saint Michael's Hospital. She second married Herbert J. Botz on 21 November 1973 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.
"After his death on 9 November 1997, she continued to reside in their home in Sauk Centre. In the last year, she had resided at the Belgrade Nursing Home and since 1 July at Saint Michael's Nursing Home. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, West Union Homemakers, Sauk Centre Seniors and Saint Michael's Hospital Auxilliary.
