Wayne Neal, age 85 of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at The Atrium Medical Center. He was born October 26, 1928 in Climax, Kansas, the son of Oliver Orin Neal and Nevada (Dunford) Neal. Wayne retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He worked as a plant engineering manager for Aeronca Aircraft Corporation. He was a local published author of fiction and western novels.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Sandy (Nunamaker) Neal; five sons, Steve (Judy) Neal, Scott (Phyllis) Neal, Barry (Dina) Neal, Danny (Audra) Neal, and Jeff Neal; a brother, John (his late wife, Phoebe) Neal; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 12:00 noon, Monday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Celebrant Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Monday. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
