Muncie...Betty Lee (Adkins) Haskell-Sportsman, 82, resident of the Muncie/Yorktown area, passed away at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born in Middletown, September 18, 1931, the daughter of Newell and Verena Welsh Adkins.

She retired from Riverview Hospital in Noblesville after 20 years as a Nurses Aid but had also worked at Miromatic, General Electric, and Brookside Coropration.

She had lived in the Munice, Yorktown, and Daleville area for many years.

She attended Glad Tiding Church in Muncie and the Methodist Church in Anderson.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Anderson.

Survivors are two children: Kenneth Haskell (Debby) of Daleville and Willis Kent Haskell, Sr. (Kathy) of Yorktown, 4 brothers: Marvin (Pat), Bob (Juanita), Jim (Reva) and Gary Adkins all of Muncie, 3 sisters: Wanda Moore (Thurston) of Daleville, JoAnn Cook of Florida and Mila Bost of Muncie, 5 grandchildren: Shelly Kimmerling (Mark Ballenger) of Middletown, Mary Gaines of Connersville, Kyle Haskell of Anderson, Sherry Dix of Yorktown and C.J. Haskell of Missouri, 3 step grandchildren: Jamie Scamilhorn and Joshua Scamihorn of Muncie and James L. Peckinpaugh of Washington, MO, Special friend David Artrip of Muncie, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands: Arza Haskell and Clarence Sportsman, 1 brother Donald Adkins and 2 grandchildren: Willis Kent Haskell, Jr., and Andrea Scamihorn.
