Per a SAC received on March 1, 2015, a 1880 U.S. Federal Census report for Jefferson county, Iowa, lists "Jasper Rogers", son of a Lucy Rogers who was born in New York. The name of the father was not listed, evidently, but the father's birthplace was listed as Connecticut.
Update: a relationship link edit request for Jasper to his father, George W. Rogers, has been accepted a/o November 14, 2016.

To clarify the note about this burial, many burials in this cemetery in the mid to late 1800's were recorded only as being buried, but at that time no specific plot locations were mapped out. Therefore, there are many burials of those without known headstones whose exact plot locations will never be fully accounted for. In the 1960's the cemetery was canvassed for headstone inscriptions and a plat map was drawn up, but it only accounts for headstones/inscriptions that were found and were at least somewhat legible.
