Services for L.D. "Lawrence" Baggett, 68, was held in the Palestine Baptist Church in Graham, Louisiana. Mr. Baggett was the head coach in Newcastle, Texas in the 1970s and later moved to Windthorst, Texas where he led the team to a Class B State Title. He was a teacher and coach for more than 30 years in Texas and moved to Louisiana where he retired.

Survived by three sisters - Edith Price, Evie Baggett, Minnie Davis; two brothers - W.R. Baggett, Monroe Baggett.
