Augusta Wrenne Timberlake was born in Nashville, Tennessee. In September 1893, she was married to Colonel Edward J. Timberlake, United States Army and was the mother of four West Point graduates. She died at the age of 63 years on Thursday, May 30, 1940 at Walter Reed Hospital. She was brought to Walter Reed a month ago from her home in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her sons were Major Edward Wrenne Timberlake with the R.O.T.C. at the University of Illinois; Major Patrick Weston Timberlake at the office of the Chief of the Air Corps in the District of Columbia; Lieut. Edward J. Timberlake Jr. of Kelly Field, Texas. The fourth son, Lieut. Joseph Coleman Timberlake predeceased her. Services were held at the Walter Reed Memorial Chapel.
