Ellen R. Koser was the daughter of Civil War veteran Israel Jacob Koser (1824-1898) and Rebecca George (1817-1891).

On September 4, 1869, in Johnson county, Iowa, Ellen married William Albright. To this union the following children are known:
1) Reuben C. Albright (16 Jun 1870-15 Feb 1929)
2) Ulysees Matthias Albright (10 Apr 1874-2 Oct 1874, Litchfield, MN.)
3) Millard Albright (abt 1877-21 Feb 1894; burial Ridgewood cemetery, Penn, Johnson County, Iowa)
4) Cora Albright (Mrs. Couser)(16 Apr 1881-17 Feb 1965)
5) Anna Maude Albright (Mrs. Lewis Koeppel)(1882 - 1947)
