Ruby Wells Goodall Mergele, 80, passed away peacefully Friday, April 18, 2014 with her son and grandchildren by her side. Memorial service will be 3 pm Sunday, May 4, at Grace Community Church in Arlington, Texas. Her wish was for her body to be donated to science.
Ruby was born September 12, 1933 to Jess and Lexie Wells in China Spring. She dedicated her life to children by teaching and establishing a successful childcare center. Ruby was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, Max Walker; sister, Helen Alexander Burt and Mary Hopkins; brother, Elvin Wells.
Survivors include her son, Joe Goodall of Hurst; sister, Ollie Wales of Crawford; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
