SPRINGTOWN - Wellington Elam Jr., a retired machinist at American Manufacturing Co., died Thursday at a Weatherford nursing center. He was 83.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Springtown Cemetery in Springtown.
Biggers Funeral Home in Lake Worth is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Elam was a lifelong Springtown resident. He was a former employee of Globe Aircraft and the Quartermaster Depot.
He retired from American Manufacturing in 1972.
Survivors: Wife, Loree E. Elam of Springtown; two sons, Namon Leon Elam of Springtown and Arthur E. Elam of Mineral Wells; brother, James Barlow Elam of Springtown; sister, Majella Niblett of Paradise; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
