Fay Bennett, 83, a retired beautician, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Fay was born April 5, 1922, in Forestburg, to Annie and Elvie Parkhill. She was a "Rosie The Riveter" during World War II and a longtime member of Oak Knoll Baptist Church. Fay was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Robert L. Bennett.

Survivors: Children, Marj Massey, Barbara Cooke, Gary Bennett, Robbie Monaghan, Michael Bennett; adopted daughter, Jackie Gates; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Lonnie V. Parkhill.
