Ralph M. Skinner, 77

Services for World War II Army veteran Ralph M. "Pete" Skinner of Litchfield were conducted Saturday afternoon in Meinschein Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve Revisky, pastor of the Christian Church in Litchfield. Burial was in Raymond City Cemetery.

Mr. Skinner, 77, died March 4, 1987, at 7:10 p.m. in St. Francis Hospital where he had been a patient since February 20.

Born September 16, 1909, in Butler Grove Township, he was a son of Alonzo and Sina (Oller) Skinner. He lived his entire life in this area and had never married. He was custodian at the Litchfield Post Office and held the same position at Illinois state Police District 18 headquarters in Litchfield for several years. He was a member of Montgomery County Farm Bureau, American Legion and had served as sexton of the Cedar Ridge Cemetery at Honey Bend.

He is survived by two sisters, Dora Williams and Mrs. Leroy (Stella) Bowles, both of Litchfield.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Russell, Vernis Ray, Leo C. and Paul H. and three sisters, Bessie Fogleman, Mabel Skinner and Mary Skinner in fancy.
