Joseph Edward Hall, 84, passed away April 28, in Stillwater. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater. Rev. Bobby Roe will officiate. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph was born on Aug. 2, 1929, to Charles "Pete" P. Hall and Pansy Ethel Meeks in Stillwater.

Joseph attended Lincoln School, North Star School in the Stillwater area. He attended John Brown Military School in Siloam Springs, Ark. (completed eight grades). He went to work as a painter at the age of 15 following his dad and uncles into this work.

He lived in Wichita, Kan., and Las Vegas, Nev., Baytown, Texas, Wake Forest, N.C. and always came home to Stillwater. He went to work at OSU in 1986 and retired from there in 1999. He enjoyed living.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two grandsons, great grandsons and one sister.

He is survived by his daughters, Leslie Annett Hall, Chandler; Valois Yvonne Hall, Meeker; Ila May, Rexburg, of Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
