Hazel Elizabeth Fowler, 89, of Iredell, Texas, passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, in Iredell. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 1, 2006, at Gholson Cemetery in Gholson, Texas, with Bro. Jason Burden officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 31, 2005, at Rutledge-Jones Funeral Home in Hico.
Hazel was born in Perryville, Texas, to the late William Hiram and Willie Vernona (Duffey) Cartwright. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Iredell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, K.C. Fowler in 1973; a daughter, Susan Kay Goates; and a granddaughter, Leah Goates.
She is survived by daughter, Vanona (Bucky) Williams and husband, Huey of Iredell; sons, William Golden Fowler and wife, Sally of Arlington, Kelly Fowler and wife, Barbara of Hubbard and Danny Fowler and wife, Gaye of Iredell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchilden, nieces and nephews.
